PROJECT MANAGEMENT The discipline devoted to planning, organizing and coordinating resources to successfully achieve the objectives of a project (a short-term endeavor to achieve specific objectives). Planning Establishing the scope of a project, refining the objectives, and defining the course of action required to attain the objectives that a project is undertaken to achieve. Integration management Initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing of all key project, IT and change management plans, processes and outputs required to achieve project success. Prepare project management plan A process resulting in a/n Project management plan - a collection of plans for each of the other knowledge areas – scope, schedule, budget, etc. – which a Project Manager uses collectively to successfully execute, control and close a project.
